Rajasthan, situated to the northwest of India, is the mainstay of the Indian Natural Stone Industry and is a cradle of mineral wealth. It has over 90% of the country's Marble, Sandstone and Limestone deposits along with a major share of Granite and Slate deposits. The marble industry in Rajasthan is very well developed with mechanized quarries, tiling plants, gang-saws etc. However, most of the production is consumed within India and international exposure is quite limited.
